Asperix was founded by Aaron Ferguson, who spent years running independent study and distance learning in a California school district before building Asperix to fix the paperwork problem at its root. He was named a Milken National Educator in 2017 — often called "the Oscars of Teaching," an honor recipients are surprised with, never apply for.
Asperix builds compliance software for K–12 districts. Our flagship product, ISST — Independent Study, Short-Term — makes short-term independent study audit-ready, so districts keep the attendance funding they earn. We also consult with districts on the hard parts of educational technology and on getting more out of their learning management systems.
